MAKO MINING AWARDED $45 MILLION SECOND FORTUNE MINING CONTRACT
Linden Gold Alliance Pty Ltd (LGA) has awarded Mako Mining Pty Ltd (Mako Mining) a two year $45.7m contract to carry out underground mining services at LGA’s Second Fortune Gold Project, located approximately 220km north east of Kalgoorlie and 109km south of Laverton.
LGA acquired and operates the 100% owned Linden Gold Project, with the main focus being the Second Fortune gold mine. Dewatering commenced in September 2020 with first ore production expected during March 2021.Mako Mining mobilised to Second Fortune during November 2020 and underground works commenced in December 2020.
The awarding of this contract represents a significant expansion outside of our decade long partnership with Western Areas (WSA) Forrestania Nickel Operations. It has been made possible only by the tireless dedication of our incredible employees and represents a significant new growth phase for Mako Mining.
