OUR HISTORY
Mako Mining was established in 2011 as a specialist narrow vein mining services company. The company’s first contract at Western Areas’ Forrestania Nickel Operations in Western Australia involved hand held and mechanised mining services at the Flying Fox mine.
The scope of works at Forrestania was extended with the award of a substantial development and stoping contract at the Spotted Quoll mine, providing a fit-for-purpose fleet and team to mine a shallow dipping and narrow region of the orebody. Working closely with our client, we have been able to successfully introduce narrow vein mining to what had always been a large scale focused operation.
Mako Mining has grown from a single person operation to a professional multi skilled workforce. The company has a track record of consistent safety and production meeting our client’s expectations on scheduling and budgetary requirements.
Well advanced across numerous mining methods and commodities, Mako has the capability to engage in underground mine feasibility, project management, mine development and mine production.
